PT Freeport Indonesia atau biasa disingkat sebagai PTFI merupakan perusahaan tambang mineral afiliasi dari Freeport-McMoRan (FCX) dan Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID). Sejak akhir tahun 2018, PTFI merupakan bagian dari Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) melalui PT Inalum (Persero) setelah diakuisisi sahamnya sebesar 51%, sehingga dinyatakan pula sebagai bagian dari BUMN. MIND ID sendiri merupakan Holding Industri Pertambangan Indonesia, dengan PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) (Inalum), PT ANTAM Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Timah Tbk, dan PT Freeport Indonesia sebagai anggota holding. 

PTFI menambang dan memproses bijih menghasilkan konsentrat yang mengandung tembaga, emas dan perak. PTFI memasarkan konsentrat ke seluruh penjuru dunia dan terutama ke smelter tembaga dalam negeri, PT Smelting.

Tambang di kawasan mineral Grasberg, Papua – Indonesia merupakan salah satu deposit tembaga dan emas terbesar di dunia. PTFI saat ini menambang pada fase akhir tambang terbuka Grasberg. Selain itu, PTFI tengah mengerjakan beberapa proyek pada kawasan mineral Grasberg sehubungan dengan pengembangan beberapa tambang bawah tanah berkadar tinggi yang berskala besar dan berumur panjang. Secara total, semua tambang bawah tanah ini diharapkan menghasilkan tembaga dan emas skala besar sehubungan dengan peralihan dari tambang terbuka Grasberg.

Saat ini PT Freeport Indonesia sedang membuka program rekrutmen untuk kebutuhan persiapan smelter Manyar. Berikut adalah daftar posisi dan kualifikasi yang dibutuhkan:

Smelter Operation Readiness – Engineer Radio Systems

The Engineer Network and Wireless will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the organizations computer network and wireless infrastructure. This position will play a critical role in ensuring that the organizations business and process control networks are designed, implemented, and maintained to meet business needs, while ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of the network and make important decisions to achieve these goals.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Certification, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • 5+ years of experience in network support

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters)

  • Strong knowledge of business network infrastructure and design including telephone systems, digital trunk radio, network protocols, fiber optic / ethernet cabling standards and AC/DC power systems.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANS, VPNs and QoS.
  • Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of process control systems such as Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and other data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support.

Smelter Operation Readiness – Engineer Systems Management

The Engineer Systems Management will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operations of servers, storage, backups, and disaster recovery environment, to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted operation of the compute environment, as well as to maintain the security and integrity of the data stored within. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operating of the organizations server infrastructure, which is essential for maintaining productivity and keeping the business running smoothly. 

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Certification, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
  • Certification, VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Certification, Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration management

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters)

  • Strong technical skills in areas such as server and network administration, operating systems, databases, Active Directory, virtualization, and security.
  • Automation, experience with scripting and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and increase efficiency.
  • Knowledge and understanding of process control and data acquisition systems.
  • Knowledge of regulations that govern data retention and privacy including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)

Smelter Operation Readiness –  Superintendent Systems Management

The Superintendent Systems Management will be responsible for managing a team of systems administrators overseeing the installation, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of servers, storage, backups, and disaster recovery environment, to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted operation of the compute environment, as well as to maintain the security and integrity of the data stored within.

This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that the team is able to maintain and troubleshoot the business and process control compute environments, monitor the performance, and respond to technical issues in a timely and effective manner.

This supervisory position is to ensure that the server infrastructure is secure, stable, operates effectively and efficiently, with minimal downtime and disruptions, so that the organization can rely on it to process, store and manage its critical data.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Smelter Operation Readiness – Superintendent Network, Wireless and Control Systems

  • The Superintendent Network, Wireless and Control Systems will be responsible for managing a team of network support technicians overseeing and managing the technical operations and infrastructure of the various wired and wireless network systems, both for business administration and smelter process control.
  • This role will work closely with production teams, other engineers, and management to identify and solve process control issues, and ensure that production processes are efficient, reliable and safe.
  • This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that the team is able to maintain and troubleshoot network systems, monitor network performance, and respond to technical issues in a timely and effective manner.

Smelter Operation Readiness – Engineer End User Computing

  • The Engineer End User Computing will be responsible for implementing and supporting the computer infrastructure and end user devices used by the organizations employees. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the employees have the necessary technology tools to perform their work efficiently and effectively.
  • This position will work with a team of IT professional to create and maintain the organizations computing environment. This includes managing hardware and software inventories, setting up and configuring new devices, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the security and privacy of the organizations data.
  • Ultimately, the purpose of this position is to support the productivity and success of the organizations employees by providing them with reliable, efficient, and secure computing tools and resources.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in end user computer support.

Smelter Operation Readiness – Superintendent End User Computing

  • The Superintendent End User Computing will be responsible for managing a team of end user computing support technicians to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of all end user IT resources for our smelting and refining businesses.
  • The position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that they are providing timely and effective support for computer applications, desktops, laptops, printers, copiers, projectors, audio visual equipment, mobile devices, and video conferencing facilities.
  • This supervisory position is to ensure that end-users have access to the IT resources and technical support they need to perform their job functions, and to ensure that the end user support team is meeting the organizations standards, goals, and objectives.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in end user computer support including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Smelter Operation Readiness – Manager IT Infrastructure

  • The Manager IT Infrastructure will be accountable for managing various teams of multidiscipline IT professionals overseeing the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of the companys information technology (IT) systems and infrastructure. This includes managing the companys hardware, software, wired and wireless networks, servers, storages systems, two-way trunked radio systems, end user computing devices and other related IT infrastructure.
  • This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of all IT infrastructure and services ensuring that the IT systems are reliable, secure, up-to-date, and working correctly to improve the productivity and efficiency of the various smelting plants.
  • In addition, this position will implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect the smelters sensitive data and infrastructure from potential cyber threats.
  • This leadership position plays a critical role in ensuring that the smelters information technology infrastructure supports the unique demands of the organization.

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support and at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Certification, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) would be an advantage.
  • Certification, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCSA) would be an advantage.
