PT Freeport Indonesia atau biasa disingkat sebagai PTFI merupakan perusahaan tambang mineral afiliasi dari Freeport-McMoRan (FCX) dan Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID). Sejak akhir tahun 2018, PTFI merupakan bagian dari Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) melalui PT Inalum (Persero) setelah diakuisisi sahamnya sebesar 51%, sehingga dinyatakan pula sebagai bagian dari BUMN. MIND ID sendiri merupakan Holding Industri Pertambangan Indonesia, dengan PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) (Inalum), PT ANTAM Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Timah Tbk, dan PT Freeport Indonesia sebagai anggota holding.
PTFI menambang dan memproses bijih menghasilkan konsentrat yang mengandung tembaga, emas dan perak. PTFI memasarkan konsentrat ke seluruh penjuru dunia dan terutama ke smelter tembaga dalam negeri, PT Smelting.
Tambang di kawasan mineral Grasberg, Papua – Indonesia merupakan salah satu deposit tembaga dan emas terbesar di dunia. PTFI saat ini menambang pada fase akhir tambang terbuka Grasberg. Selain itu, PTFI tengah mengerjakan beberapa proyek pada kawasan mineral Grasberg sehubungan dengan pengembangan beberapa tambang bawah tanah berkadar tinggi yang berskala besar dan berumur panjang. Secara total, semua tambang bawah tanah ini diharapkan menghasilkan tembaga dan emas skala besar sehubungan dengan peralihan dari tambang terbuka Grasberg.
Saat ini PT Freeport Indonesia sedang membuka program rekrutmen untuk kebutuhan persiapan smelter Manyar. Berikut adalah daftar posisi dan kualifikasi yang dibutuhkan:
Smelter Operation Readiness – Shift Supervisor Hot Metals
Shift Supervisors in the Hot Metals area are responsible for supervising several Team leaders and their operator members in achieving daily production activities safely in factory areas related to high temperature smelting. The Hot Metals area has several areas and job placement will be determined according to the selection and interview results. The Hot Metals area include: Flash Smelting Furnace (FSF), Flash Converting Furnace (FCF), Anode Furnace (AF), and Anode Casting. The Shift Supervisor will focus on daily operational tactics, ensure safe execution of tasks and optimize processes, working closely with internal leadership and the Technical Service team. The Shift Supervisor is also responsible for tactical coordination with several other Sections within the factory environment (Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Process Control, etc.). This position will report to the relevant Section Manager for each area.
Minimum Education & Experience
SMA/SMK graduate and has more than 10 years experience in leading shift operational workers in chemical, metal or mineral processing plants.
OR
Diploma (D-I, D-II, or D-III) in a technical field and more than 7 years experience in leading shift operational workers in chemical, metal, or mineral processing plants.
OR
Bachelor degree (S1) in technical field and more than 5 years experience in leading shift operational workers in chemical, metal or mineral processing plants
Minimum Certified First Operational Supervisor (POP).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Operational and/or technical experience and knowledge of safe and efficient operations for the following:
Anode Furnace & Casting Area: Furnace, Hot Metal Launder (Blister), Anode Casting Wheel, Forklift Operations, Shaft Furnace, Cooling Systems
Experience working in operations following standard integrated planning (operation/maintenance planning and scheduling) and routines.
Experience in safe practice for managing and handling high temperature processes and molten metals.
Proven experience in managing field operations workers, by creating and maintaining the right work culture i.e. discipline on safety, environment and pursuit of excellence.
Able to communicate in English (read, write and verbal) well.
Have persuasive skills to influence parties outside of direct supervision.
Experience with Indonesian regulations regarding Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) for appropriate mineral/metal processing.
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Understanding of work using MS Office and other reporting systems.
Skilled in following the application of safety and hazard recognition.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
