PT Freeport Indonesia atau biasa disingkat sebagai PTFI merupakan perusahaan tambang mineral afiliasi dari Freeport-McMoRan (FCX) dan Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID). Sejak akhir tahun 2018, PTFI merupakan bagian dari Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) melalui PT Inalum (Persero) setelah diakuisisi sahamnya sebesar 51%, sehingga dinyatakan pula sebagai bagian dari BUMN. MIND ID sendiri merupakan Holding Industri Pertambangan Indonesia, dengan PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) (Inalum), PT ANTAM Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Timah Tbk, dan PT Freeport Indonesia sebagai anggota holding. 

PTFI menambang dan memproses bijih menghasilkan konsentrat yang mengandung tembaga, emas dan perak. Kami memasarkan konsentrat ke seluruh penjuru dunia dan terutama ke smelter tembaga dalam negeri, PT Smelting. Kami beroperasi di dataran tinggi terpencil di Pengunungan Sudirman, Kabupaten Mimika, Provinsi Papua, Indonesia

Tambang di kawasan mineral Grasberg, Papua – Indonesia merupakan salah satu deposit tembaga dan emas terbesar di dunia. Kami saat ini menambang pada fase akhir tambang terbuka Grasberg. Kami tengah mengerjakan beberapa proyek pada kawasan mineral Grasberg sehubungan dengan pengembangan beberapa tambang bawah tanah berkadar tinggi yang berskala besar dan berumur panjang. Secara total, semua tambang bawah tanah ini diharapkan menghasilkan tembaga dan emas skala besar sehubungan dengan peralihan dari tambang terbuka Grasberg.

Saat ini PT Freeport Indonesia sedang membuka lowongan pekerjaan untuk penempatan smelter Manyar yang direncanakan akan segera beroperasi dalam waktu 1-2 tahun ini. Berikut adalah daftar posisi dan kualifikasi yang dibutuhkan:

PMR Operations Supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Diploma (DI, DII, or DIII) in technical field and more than eight (8) years of experience in leading operational crews within chemical or metallurgical processing plants.
  • Pengawas Operasional Pertama (POP) certified as minimum.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Experience in operational readiness efforts, such as expertise in developing and implementing operating procedures, operating policies, operational systems, training programs, etc.
  • Operational and/or technical experience and knowledge of the safe and efficient operation of the following operations:
    • Leaching, Filtration, Solvent Extraction, Precipitation, Reduction.
  • Experience working in an operation following integrated planning standards (operations/maintenance planning and scheduling) and routines.
  • Experienced in safe practices for managing and handling of hazardous chemicals, processes, and reactions.
  • Proven experience in managing field operational crews, with creating and nurturing the right working culture that is disciplined on safety, environmental, and striving for excellence.
  • Ability to lead investigations to address the root cause of deviations (safety/production/quality)
  • Skilled in influencing others not under direct supervision, including managing upwards.
  • Experience with relevant Indonesian regulations on safety, health, and environmental for mineral/metal processing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suites, SAP, and other business systems.
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Smelter Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, or related field and 5 years experience
  • Seven or more (7+) years of experience in area directly relevant to mining
  • Prior major project management and/or start-up experience

Knowledge; Skills & Abilities:

  • Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees
  • Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid
  • conclusions
  • Proficient in planning, scheduling, execution and follow-up of maintenance practices at large Smelter or Mining facilities.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Word & Excel, SAP, EMS, and other business systems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Skilled in managing effective communication throughout all levels of the organization, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical, or related field and 5 years experience
  • Seven or more (7+) years of experience in area directly relevant to mining
  • Prior major project management and/or start-up experience

Knowledge; Skills & Abilities:

  • Skilled in supervising, evaluating, training and motivating employees
  • Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid
  • conclusions
  • Proficient in planning, scheduling, execution and follow-up of maintenance practices at large Smelter or Mining facilities.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Word & Excel, SAP, EMS, and other business systems.

PMR Operations Superintendent

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering discipline or related field and more than eight (8) years of experience in operational leadership of chemical or metallurgical processing plants
  • Pengawas Operasional Pertama (POP) certified as minimum. Pengawas Operasional Madya (POM) highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Experience in operational readiness efforts, such as expertise in developing and implementing operating procedures, operating policies, operational systems, training programs, etc.
  • Operational and/or technical experience and knowledge of the safe and efficient operation of the following:
