PT Freeport Indonesia atau biasa disingkat sebagai PTFI merupakan perusahaan tambang mineral afiliasi dari Freeport-McMoRan (FCX) dan Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID). Sejak akhir tahun 2018, PTFI merupakan bagian dari Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) melalui PT Inalum (Persero) setelah diakuisisi sahamnya sebesar 51%, sehingga dinyatakan pula sebagai bagian dari BUMN. MIND ID sendiri merupakan Holding Industri Pertambangan Indonesia, dengan PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) (Inalum), PT ANTAM Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Timah Tbk, dan PT Freeport Indonesia sebagai anggota holding. 

PTFI menambang dan memproses bijih menghasilkan konsentrat yang mengandung tembaga, emas dan perak. PTFI memasarkan konsentrat ke seluruh penjuru dunia dan terutama ke smelter tembaga dalam negeri, PT Smelting.

Tambang di kawasan mineral Grasberg, Papua – Indonesia merupakan salah satu deposit tembaga dan emas terbesar di dunia. PTFI saat ini menambang pada fase akhir tambang terbuka Grasberg. Selain itu, PTFI tengah mengerjakan beberapa proyek pada kawasan mineral Grasberg sehubungan dengan pengembangan beberapa tambang bawah tanah berkadar tinggi yang berskala besar dan berumur panjang. Secara total, semua tambang bawah tanah ini diharapkan menghasilkan tembaga dan emas skala besar sehubungan dengan peralihan dari tambang terbuka Grasberg.

Smelter Operation Readiness – Shift Engineer

This position will provide technical support the Shift Superintendent in monitor all area on shift basis. Shift Engineer will coordinate with various area operations team to monitor and ensure optimized technical coordination, ample resources available to support each area, and safe execution of tasks. Areas to be covered include Raw Materials Handling, Hot Metals, Acid Plant, Utilities, Electro-refinery, and Slag Concentrator, as well as auxiliary equipment. The position workload is determined by conditions at the plant, throughput, and seasonal maintenance activities. All work is required to be performed in a safe, efficient, environmentally acceptable manner. The shift engineer is the primarily responsible individual for the accurate recording of plant performance in the operations logbook. In collaboration with other technical staff, Shift Engineer is responsible for providing operational improvement opportunities between various area interfaces including interface with contractors, utility providers (oxygen plant, power, natural gas, wharf operations, and others).

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Min. Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or above in technical field (Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, Metallurgical Engineering) is preferable.
  • Good and effective communication skills in both Indonesian and English languages, verbal and written
  • Having experience in operating specific heavy industrial equipment, commissioning new plan is preferable.
  • Having experience more than 4 years.

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters):

  • Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude of equipment and how to properly maintain plant equipment and systems.
  • Having knowledge of plant controls, tools, equipment and proper procedures to maintain the plan and the ability to monitor all the equipment and machinery in the Plant.
  • Ability to understand and execute written and oral instructions and relay those instructions to subordinate employees and other Shift Engineers on subsequent shifts.
  • Having sufficient physical strength, ability, dexterity, vision and hearing to perform all duties of this position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, other shift engineers and plant personnel
  • Having high aptitude in analyzing complex activities and their effectiveness, to always seek improvements to make the production process more efficient.
  • Ability to read and interpret all the various instruments in the plant and make equipment adjustments as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret the trends of various plan parameter.
  • Able to perform root cause analysis.
  • Ability to understand written and oral instructions and comply with directives.
  • Must be willing to work on a shift schedule.

Smelter Operation Readiness – Shift Engineer Allocators

The contractor allocator is responsible for managing the distribution of contract workforce and mobile equipment arrangement to support all plant production activities. Provide schedule of distribution for better and efficient utilization of resources. This position will ensure the availability of required equipment and workforce, report to Shift Superintendent in monitoring all activities of workforce as well as mobile equipment at appointed working area and is entitled in necessary adjustment to allocate it to other area as per the requirement of production activities i.e., at emergency situations.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Min. Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or above in technical field (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) is preferable.
  • Minimum 4 years working experience.

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters):

  • Good communication skills in English (Active/Passive).
  • Having knowledge of operating mobile equipment is preferable.
  • Have an outgoing and communicative.
  • Good decision maker.
  • Willing work in shift schedule.

Smelter Operation Readiness – Superintendent Systems Management

The Superintendent Systems Management will be responsible for managing a team of systems administrators overseeing the installation, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of servers, storage, backups, and disaster recovery environment, to ensure the efficient and uninterrupted operation of the compute environment, as well as to maintain the security and integrity of the data stored within.

This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that the team is able to maintain and troubleshoot the business and process control compute environments, monitor the performance, and respond to technical issues in a timely and effective manner.

This supervisory position is to ensure that the server infrastructure is secure, stable, operates effectively and efficiently, with minimal downtime and disruptions, so that the organization can rely on it to process, store and manage its critical data.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Certification, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
  • Certification, VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Certification, Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration management and at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters):

  • Strong technical skills in areas such as server and network administration, operating systems, databases, Active Directory, virtualization and security.
  • Automation, experience with scripting and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and increase efficiency.
  • Knowledge and understanding of process control and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience managing and maintaining a large business and or process control data center.
  • Knowledge of regulations that govern data retention and privacy including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, technical and conversational.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in the metal processing industry.
  • Experience in mining or process automation industries is a plus.

This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operating of the organizations server infrastructure, which is essential for maintaining productivity and keeping the business running smoothly.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Certification, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)

Smelter Operation Readiness – HR Business Partnering Officer

Responsible to overseeing the provision of HR business partnering support based on area assigned. Support all each line management to assist and give guidance to develop People career and development, resolve problems and enable success in their area groups.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Management, Industrial engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in business partner area,
  • Prior major project management and/or start-up on big industry experience.
